house last night...
that show is ridiculously good. i really thought that they would start running out of ideas... i mean you can only make cancer/toxins/auto-immune diseases interesting x amount of times. yet somehow, the writers manage to do it. what i need is 1 more show to adopt. i have none (other than house). entourage starts on cityTV soon. premiere of 6 degrees was pretty good. maybe i should ask cammie for more suggestions.

holy crap...
it's already september 15th. i've had 3 full weeks of school.
i really thought i would hate pathobiology of disease. viruses, bacteria, immunology. those things just don't tickly my fancy. BUT, i have to say that all this stuff, especially the virology and bacteriology stuff is pretty damn interesting. i love learning practical things. and all this stuff on infection and antibiotics is as clincally relevant as it gets. so i've found myself listening intently all week and attend every single class! *gasp*
there's an exam in like 10 days, so enough of learning for fun and time to stuff useless details into my head a la UofT Medicine. oh well, whatever needs to be to reach the ultimate goal.
my enthusiasm about physiatry is quickly waning. 1hr consults with each patient... delving deep into biopsychosocial issues and support systems is not my cup of tea. i want to see cases, and lots of them. i don't mind the occassional long conversation, but really, i just want to do clinical medicine... sounds like 2+1 family+emergency is sounding more and more appealing. i am... going to change my mind 5 million times before it's all said and done.
i expect all of you to be at earthtones this year. last year...only vanessa came. this year, we're working on a ridiculously difficult tango, and if we can actually pull it off, you guys should all come to my long and boring concert that's 4 hours long...uhh... yes. come.
my foot is freaking killing me. this plantar fasciitis thing is such a pain in the ass. it's like i can only wear super supportive running shoes, all the time. if i wear uncomfortable shoes for 1 days, it's over for me for the next few days. it's ridiculous.
last friday at afterlife, was a good time. as was that 70s party on saturday. and of course, unlimited meat (mmm... beef ribs) on sunday.
this weekend will be less eventful, but perhaps that's a good thing.
